They do take a battery to shoot full auto.  But if your battery dies then It doesn’t mean your marker stops shooting,  you could still switch it to the semi and the marker still works. The mechanicals are the same without the full auto/electronic trigger. This marker is a breeze to shoot. It is better for people with less experience.
